About — KEANE

Lisa Keane is a multidisciplinary textile designer and creator. The Swedish born and London based designer’s practice is elegantly situated between slow contemporary textile manipulation, mixed media and fashion. She began her studies within design and pattern cutting in Stockholm, Sweden, and continued her path at London College of Fashion in Fashion Textiles, where she graduated with First Class Honours. She later expanded her education through a Masters degree at Chelsea College of Art in Textile Design intertwining her practice between fine art and textiles. Her strong focus is on purpose, the females in her life and her diverse heritage are constantly reflected in her work.

Her work is focused on working with recycled, deadstock and surplus materials. Using what others consider disposable into something beautiful.
